THE GAP YEAR IS NO LONGER JUST A “GAP YEAR” BETWEEN PREP SCHOOL AND COLLEGE.

THERE IS NO GAP

rather it is an essential phase, a developmental phase in the life of successful students which under-girts a “Transformative Year” - bridging the span from the dependent high school adolescent - leading to - the independent , self-advocating young adult.

SO WHERE WILL LIFE LEAD YOU?

The Power of The Gap Year

The Gap Year gives you a chance to experience the world directly, unfiltered by other people's interpretations.

You experience it unvarnished from bias, spin, hype and the agendas of others. The power of finding your own way isn't always easy or predictable, particularly in the increasingly more complex technologically driven world we live in today. But when you do, you can discover new capabilities that will serve you well throughout life. And to do so is far more satisfying and life-changing when you have successfully traversed the challenges on your own.

Once you encounter the world on your own terms and practice dealing with and managing its challenges, you will never settle for someone else's version of it or be dependent on anyone else to direct your life.

The Gap Year provides students with:

-Greater self-confidence;

-More sense of independence and confidence;

- Strong work ethic;

- Solid self-awareness and self-management skills;

- Time-management skills;

- A broadened understanding of the inter connective ness of all life and global systems;

- Effective team/project collaboration skills;

- Strong verbal and non-verbal communication skills;

- Predictive and planning skills;

- High levels of motivation;

- Ability to respond fluidly to change;

- Flexible, adaptive, innovative and creative capabilities;

- Awareness of the necessity to continue on-going, life-long self upskilling to stay ahead of changes; skills essential for the success of any business and maintaining one's personal value to the business and one’s life endeavors.
